Phones also wipe metadata as you submit files it took (videos/images) via the browser. Be wary of posting videos in general, the pleroma server doesn't know how to wipe metadata from them and I don't know for sure which phones and which OSes wipe them.

I think it's a setting that has to be enabled, or at least it was on older versions
