Are you sure you are actually progressive? I used to think I was. Went to a Bernie rally in Denver back in 2019. After getting into bitcoin I realized I’m not progressive at all (politically). I am as socially progressive as you can get, but now I realize the government needs to shrink and go away and stop ruining everything.

In the long term im a libertarian socialist
For the short-medium term I still see the U.S. as a nation that needs and benefits form social safety net and government funding for the people (not tax breaks for the uber rich and growing the military industrial complex)
My problem is when the left ALSO combats freedom tech, privacy, free speech, and development. Thats overt communism
As long as the fiat money printer still exists, we can’t even have a fair conversation about what we’re willing to fund. They will just steal it from us to fund whatever they want.
Even on a bitcoin standard, nation states can still use credit/resource power to produce debt and IOUs.

BUT if govt funding exists today it should AT LEAST benefit the people, not war and bailouts for billionaires and corps addicted to fiat games
