I've been thinking about this a lot, my mom is a library director at a university built in 1780s I've been meaning to go check out all the old stuff that isn't on the shelves anymore

they are very hard to read, most of them take for granted a lot of cultural background that does not exist anymore.

once you set your minset approprietly it gets easier.
