The Federal Reserve balances are just computer entries made up by the Fed.
Ordinary bank balances are just computer entries made up by the bank.
Federal Reserve Notes are supposed to be redeemed in "lawful money" "on demand" (12USC411) but they just refuse which is a felony (18USC334) that seemingly only the FBI can enforce - and they don't.
The part-dollar coins are cupronickel faces on a copper slug.
The penny is copper plating on a zinc slug.
The nickels are real (real cupronickel) which is a fake version of the half-dime.
Conversely, the real money (minted gold and silver coins) has a deliberately under-stated face value so you can't really use that within the fiat system either.
The system is not merely fake in some critical detail, every single aspect of the system is an illusion.
