One of the main things that reduced fires in homes dramatically since the 1970s was GFCI outlets. You should have them in your kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and outside. The recent code was upgraded for anything below grade as well. Those are pretty important. Everything else would be more common sense for home fires (clean the furnace or keep it clean, don’t use candles etc…)
