Agreed, but I'd replace "we" with "they" since we aren't benefitting. Unless we own stock in Raytheon π
This may be the only case where I give a fuck about pronouns π

When you say "I stand with Ukraine" at this point this is what you are "standing with". Random young men abducted on the street, thrown into a vehicle, forced into service, given a few weeks of training at best, then sent to the front as fodder. Whole new level of voluntold.
This is all so we can deplete weapons stores, gain battle testing against an advanced force and Raytheon, Lockheed, et. all can make trillions selling more weapons to the government paid for of course with stolen tax dollars.
Not one fuckin thing your TV tells you about the Russo-Ukraine war is accurate, not one.

We all benefit in some ways from this system, it is why it is so hard to change it.
I can't think of a single way that I benefit from the war in Ukraine. There may be some unseen butterfly effect but it's certainly a net loss for me.
You might not benefit from the thing with Ukraine and Russia. Probably donβt but the system that enables the government to have the wherewithal to place itself in that situation? We all do. Some more and for longer than others of course.
Exactly what I am saying. We all benefit and suffer for the wars our government gets involved with. You have to think along the lines six degrees of Kevin Bacon.
Do you benefit from the Ukraine war directly, probably not. As an American do you benefit in some way from some thing connected to the war? It is almost inconceivable that you don't.
Our government? Such propaganda! American? Such assumption! The world is bigger than America lol
The original post and my reply were specifically about the war in Ukraine and not the whole system but I'll take a bite out of that too.
By your logic a slave benefits from their master because he feeds them. Sure technically they're benefiting but they'd benefit much more from almost any other system. It may be a benefit but not a net benefit. The system takes more than it gives.
And then there's the word we again. You're making an assumption about who I am and where I live. Lots of people on this planet don't benefit from this system at all.
