Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, faced martyrdom for their unwavering faith. Ermil was tortured for confessing Christ, and Stratonic, witnessing his steadfastness, confessed his own belief. Both were drowned in the Danube River in Singidunum (Belgrade) in 315 A.D. May their courage inspire us to stand firm in our beliefs. Let us pray for their intercession that we may emulate their unwavering faith.
