Not a huge fan of bags for carrying, but if it's your best option, then it's better than not carrying, for sure.

My main requirement would be to have the gun in a kydex holster inside the bag that fully covers the trigger guard, and practice dry fire from the bag so you build the muscle memory to draw smoothly.

That should do the trick. You have something to keep it attached to the bag so you can draw and the kydex falls away as you do?

The entire back of this holster is velcro, and the dedicated pocket in the gun bag is hard velcro. Match made in heaven.

Beautiful! Always glad to hear about others being diligent in protecting their families.

Aye. Took a bit, adjusting to the Texas climate. I had been setup for jeans/jacket weather before. Now I'm in a polo, barefoot sandles, and khaki shorts most of the time.

At 103-105F, I can't do on-body carry. Plus, I like having all my medical nearby.

With this bag I can draw in about 3-5 seconds. Not terrible, all things considered.

If I went into a sketchy area, like the inner city, then I'd suffer through appendix carry.
