Problem with the washer method like that is if you ever after taking off the nut to read them, accidentally drop the whole mess on the floor, you could end up with a fun puzzle to solve.

you can stamp numbers too you know.. the real problem is that some pros warned about is cold welding. every method has its own cons

I like the idea of writing a poem or story about something you care about using the words. Make sure they're not obviously placed and space them out, then memorize the story or just publish a copy of the little book. Even if others found it and read it, they wouldn't have a clue.
Me too. I've said before you could write a story and publish it online somewhere and as long as you know the cipher, no one would ever think anything of it.
