I donāt believe ācancel-cultureā is the right term. I think itās just neo-liberal marketing-speak coming from SEO texters. They want to reduce free speech to a soft all-pleasing marketing-speak with no edges.

Thatās the same thing, isnāt it? Outliers donāt go well with optimizing, so you remove them first. Thatās 101 of data sanitation, otherwise your model/message will over- or under-fit.
