How free are you?

In your local jurisdiction, how hard is it to legally:

-Buy Bitcoin?

-Buy or sell raw milk?

-Report various taxes?

-Start a small business?

-Homeschool your kids?

-Register/inspect your vehicle(s)?

-Grow tobacco or any other plant?

-Remodel your house or build a shed?

-Peacefully protest or speak your mind?

-Buy alcohol, particularly high proof liquor?

-Access private internet or cellphone plans?

-Keep livestock or any animals besides 1-2 cats/dogs?

-Transfer or withdraw your own money from your bank?

-Transfer/Buy/Sell, keep, and use firearms and ammunition of your choosing?

If you’re dissatisfied with the barriers that your government is putting up against these moral activities, what are you going to do about it? Protest/Lobby? Move to somewhere more free? Become ungovernable?

What other actions should I add to the list as litmus tests for how free your local jurisdiction is?

- opt out of at-source payroll deductions for provincial and federal income taxes, and administer your own payment of these taxes at filing time each year as you see fit.
