Pre-Covid, YouTube would routinely shut down channels that were informative, while letting scam ads about crypto run rampant.
During COVID people had to walk on eggshells and not say magic words or phrases or else get demonetized. I'm guessing that's still going on.
I stopped relying on YouTube when I found half the videos I had marked as save for later had been deleted from the platform, apparently chock full of misinformation.
It taught me to not rely so much on cloud services. Counterparties are a risk. I pulled all my own videos and archived them. I started organizing my bookmarks and files locally. I still have a lot I can improve but I'm gradually exiting central platforms.
