I do not agree with the premise that #bitcoin self custody is difficult.
Power on the device, it generates a key, you write it down and keep it safe.

It is difficult for the layman.
💯 , It is atypical and totally counterintuitive to what we have been accustomed to, maybe this is where the difficult part comes in for some…In my experience we can all embrace a bit more personal responsibility and we can lend a hand to those who are intimidated by it for whatever reason. In my observation it’s also on the trajectory of getting way easier to self custody.
Most people are not capable of following simple written instructions.
Most of us here, I'd say are at least somewhat tech savvy and most likely enthusiastic to try new things.
Most people are not like us. If you go out to a local pub and a person after a couple beers cannot do it, most people won't be able/willing to do it. It's sad, but that's the reality we live in. For most people, self custody is hard.
