When I began dating my wife, Bitcoin was a weird fringe novelty, and I was fully transparent about the fact that I was decidedly NOT in profit, and I thought that would likely always be the case.

She accepted me and my strange hobby and agreed to marry me when I was still technically underwater on the investment. We had a nice, frugal middle class life for a few years.

We kept the normie finances firmly managed and separate from the bitcoin. We would budget for our personal hobbies, and monthly, I tossed my allotment at bitcoin.

She never once pressured me to sell, through all the wild price swings. "The bitcoin is your thing," she always told me.

You can still buy bitcoin, but you will likely never find a partner like I have, ever again. I'll part with the bitcoin, before I ever let her go.
