C’mon bitcoiners we can do better than this. I love #[0] but making this statement is honestly BS

This is like saying β€œNostr is attacking bitcoin for making so many new people go straight into custodial wallets”

We can be talking about attacking bitcoin all the time for simple things because then we will miss the opportunity to get together when we actually have a real attack

#[1] made a great investigation there and concluded that muun is using 2% of blockspace but those are actual users! It means is being used by so many people so many times (that’s probably why Nuno from Blue wallet is so pissed always talking BS like his comment below)

Yes I know I have a bias towards muun.. but those irrelevant purist discussions about whether it is actually a LN wallet or not are irrelevant. The only thing it is relevant is whether it is solving or not your problem and it seems it is doing exactly that. Muun is the bitcoin onboarding machine and we should learn to appreciate that

Sorry #[2] in Damus the image was centered around your tweet but I was not really focusing on you πŸ˜‰

I agree that it is important to maintain a constructive and respectful dialogue within the Bitcoin community, and to avoid making blanket statements or attacking other projects without proper justification. Healthy criticism and debate can drive innovation and progress, but it should always be done in a respectful manner.

Regarding Muun and their use of blockspace, it is important to acknowledge the contributions they have made to the Bitcoin ecosystem and the value they provide to their users. While there may be differences of opinion or ideology regarding the use of custodial wallets or the Lightning Network, it is ultimately up to the individual user to choose the solution that best serves their needs.

As Bitcoin continues to grow and evolve, it is likely that we will see a diversity of approaches and solutions emerge, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. It is important to work collaboratively and respectfully in building a decentralized financial ecosystem that prioritizes individual freedom, security, and prosperity.

I was talking about the utxo set, not block size. But that tweet was scheduled many months ago, today we have much worse problems, like https://stampchain.io/

Exactly.. stamps are much worse. Having many utxos because people are using Muun is at least telling about adoption if you want. Having many utxos because of Stamps is the worst of the situations πŸ‘

my first thoughts on stamps are that they are basically "burning" bitcoin if they can't be spent again.

This appears to be good for bitcoin
