Interesting, and quite surprising to me. I remember some video including a poll where ordinary people spoke how they dislike cards, prefer cash, citing privacy concerns. Blew my mind then. So until now I thought Germany would be the last (at least in Europe) to ban cash, not so sure now.
There are still places where you can pay only with cash. I think they do it for a reason.
