What if all the expensive houses had insurance higher than the actual market value (overrated)?
Went down a rabbit hole and it isn’t pretty.
Fuck.. I hate my intuitions sometimes.
Our Homeowners insurance is already insanely expensive. I know a number of people who have gotten quotes of $15,000/year for standard 3 bed 2 bath homes. Look up Merced Property & Casualty Company it went bankrupt after the Camp fire and was taken over by the State. Won’t be surprised if something like this happens again soon.

My homeowner insurance is gonna go waaay up. I get to help the 1% rebuild.
Houses are shit coins.
The banks get paid back for sure and the homeowner pockets the rest?
