Stemstr (music production app we’re building). It’s not so much a custom relay, but it will only allow posts from our app, so in that sense it will be “curated” to only having music production content
Discussion
Interesting, how do you know a post comes from your app? Is it "custodial"? Are users from your app going to load stuff from other relays too or is it supposed to be a walled environment?
Right now just using like an x-client header i think, not super secure. Not walled. Users can post and read from other relays as well. e.g. when you post there is a checkbox that says “share to all relays”.
Still working out the details of how it interacts with the rest of nostr, but i think the way it may end up is, the feed only pulls top-level notes from the stemstr relay, but all other events, replies, reactions, etc. are pulled from other relays as well.
That way you have a feed of only app-specific content, but it still meshes with the rest of nostr.
So I want to create my own app/relay for the NFT Olympics, a Twitter event I put on to force people to learn more about the tech we are using and actually understand the "web3" banner they fly so proudly
I want the relays I make for the event to be "curated" in a way that helps the new members of Nostr understand the value for value system better
And help them engage with people like you, who can better help them understand this space/the tech at play than I can. Since I am learning alongside them
Do you mind if I ask you some questions about your app and how it works?
I'm very new to all of this, and have never worked in this space before, so I'm running into a lot of roadblocks
I'd like to better understand your app as well, since I've connected with a few different NFT music artists, and I think they/their audiences would enjoy your app
