The powers structures the movement once railed against now sell the aesthetic of being counterculture to the masses. It’s mainstream to have tattoos and piercings. Your local Starbucks is full of people who think they’re raging against the machine while drinking a shitty latte and posting a story on instagram about how Elon is a nazi (without understanding what that actually means).

Meanwhile, participating in a decentralized communication protocol is truly radical.
