Web of Trust is just a calculation based on your network. You can use somebody else's Web Of Trust calculations that don't allow you to customize anything OR what we are releasing that allows users to pick their individual algos for the calculations.

So, if the user will show up or not, it entirely depends if you want it to show or not and then pick the right provider that matches that need.

OK...

Most people just use whatever is default. They don't have the time or expertise to dive into the guts and hand tailor their algo. Default parameters define networks. What's the default and does it lead to what ive described for most people?

It appears the default is to not have a WoT set up, so that suits me. Ideas like 'it helps me detect spam and fake profiles' seems a bit weak, fron where I'm sitting, because I can usually spot a spammer or a scammer or a bot and simply block them. I don't know that a numerical score will make that any easier than it already is. But I think you're right, there's a chance it blocks out new accounts and even worse, may help create circle jerk silos, or 'economy chambers', as they're more commonly known.
