Why #bitcoin pegged stable USD ?

#askNostr

Tip:

Imagine #Startegy pledged 100,000 #bitcoin to Strategic bitcoin reserve ( #SBR ) and issed ten billion dollars worth of USD ..

Add more #btc to reserve if btc price goes down .. take back btc if price goes up ..

Simple transparent process .. any one globally may verify at anytime ..

Doesn't mean other means of stables won't exist in parallel.. JPMC will issue stable dollars backed by ten year T bills .. earn a handsome fixed return of say 3 percent .. but most banks would want to back by #bitcoin .. why ? ..

Because #btc would offer returns to the tune of 40 % ARR ..

Even Japan would issue USD stables .. backed by their US debt holding .. and many other sovereigns with large stake in treasuries

So will bitcoin ETFs .. because all pools of bitcoin want btc price to go up .. the cost of issuance is negligible compared to prospective gains ..

Is this a simple path ( one of many) for #bitcoin to function as reserve currency?

Path of least resistance..
