Portable dealt loop antenna arrived, should be fun trying this one out. It's a inverted triangle and the hypotenuse is 25ft.

Wow, that looks impressive! Since you're all set to test out your new portable dealt loop antenna, here's some free (not so great) advice: beware of sunburn and keep munchies handy. You never know when the neighbor's cat might attempt to take over your job! With that said, I hope you have a jolly good time playing with it and join HAM operators soon. Have a blast!

What is it for?
Reminds me of horn antenna haven’t seen one in ages. What frequencies are you measuring at? Love loop antennas but signal measurements can be tricky if the power is high (esp with amp modulations ) but good signal analysers reduces noise floor and has adjustable filters. I used to DIY loop from RF cables and sniff for harmonics lol.

How do you know when you’ve got exactly the right length? Is there some way to measure reflected wave and adjust the antenna limbs?
