The Alcubierre method is the leading theory, but I will posit you a different theory. One I think that contains far more merit and practicality. Let's call it the Negative Mass Energy Ring theory for travel in Space-time.

An alternative method for creating a warp bubble around an object that could potentially be more viable than the Alcubierre drive theory. This proposes the use of a negative mass-energy ring that surrounds the spacecraft to create a stable warp bubble.

To create a stable warp bubble around the spacecraft, the charged ring must generate a negative mass-energy field. This can be achieved through a charged ring of radius r with surface mass density σ that has a total charge of Q. The ring could also theoretically serve as a shield against objects and environments, potentially solving a lot of problems with the Alcubierre method popularly being researched today. Also the potential for easier 3 dimensional movement tends to be better than the straightforward propulsion concept in Alcubierre.
