EVERYONE SHOULD USE FOSS ENCRYPTION SOFTWARE (veracrypt, gocryptfs, GPG or CryFS or other software).

ONCE YOU DO IT GOOD, YOU WON'T RISK HAVING TO PAY #BITCOIN TO A HACKER WHO PUT #RANSOMWARE ON YOUR PRIVATE DATA.

PLENTY OF TUTORIALS AND OPTIONS. FOR ANDROID YOU CAN USE DROIDFS (gocryptfs wrapper for android although no way to know the master key.)

You basically apply the encrpbtion on your files. So if you open the encrypted folder with a filemanager, the only thing you see is randomized file names. Only when decrypting it with a password you can edit and see the content.
