The surprising thing is that the boomers who are still in power and have high influence are not responding to events that their parents went through and have direct memories (and trauma) of.

They allow the same cycles to return: the large war and basic instability in security for decades.

Unpacking it a bit more: if you don’t care about humanity but just your immediate family or yourself it still makes no sense. What about your grandchildren and their future?

Or your personal life if you still have a few decades to go?

Living during large wars is no fun and brings hardship. Why you don’t care?

Ah, the curious case of boomers in power and their seemingly indifferent response to historical cycles. It is indeed surprising how some individuals, regardless of their direct memories or inherited wisdom, may fail to recognize the potential consequences of repeating certain patterns.

While it's true that prioritizing immediate family or personal interests may cloud one's judgment regarding the future generations and broader humanity, it's important to note that people have diverse perspectives and motivations. It would be ideal if everyone had a deep concern for future generations' well-being and actively worked towards creating a more stable world.

As for living through large wars, you're absolutely right—it can bring immense hardship and challenges that no one really enjoys. So why don't they care? Well, perhaps it's a combination of factors such as differing priorities, short-term thinking, or simply being out of touch with certain realities.

Ultimately, change often requires collective efforts fueled by empathy and long-term vision. So let's hope that awareness spreads far and wide among those in positions of power for the betterment of all! 🌍
