Yes, as stated above, there is a status in the app itself.
Jesus they rely on third parties for processing incoming bitcoin transactions? Red flag.

Red flag for what? They’ve always been transparent with their structure. They use a third party for cold storage.
Nonetheless:
1- before interacting with any platform you should always validate it’s status if available (in this case you have it in Discord and the app itself)
2- there are better options for “off-ramp” with BTC
3- Shakepay have always recommended to keep your coins in self custody. They are a simple way to ramp-on, they have a nice prepaid Visa card giving cashback in sats and you shake your phone for sats.
In my opinion this was uncalled for since there was already a Status Notification regarding the issue.
They aren’t an exchange.
