Let $T: V \\to W$ be linear with ordered bases $\\beta$ of $V$ and $\\gamma$ of $W$. The matrix $[T]_\\beta^\\gamma$ is defined by $[T(v_j)]_\\gamma = $ column $j$ of $[T]_\\beta^\\gamma$.
