Depends on your perspective. Travel is about putting yourself in a position to learn, be inspired and/or challenged, out of your comfort zone. The gym could be a place for the same. If you’re traveling to forget your troubles, drink and eat shitty parody food from your home country, shop etc, you should stay on the couch. There are gyms in most every place, just like bars, churches, shopping etc.
Sure, but some people use travel as a substitute for having a personality or actual accomplishments.
