What kind of winter boots do you fine #nostriches rock up in the north? I'm woefully unprepared for "real" winter as far as footwear goes. I'm thinking that I'd like something tall and slip on for convenience and something more for tramping around in wet, snowy woods all day.

I'm more than a little overwhelmed looking at options online.

Needs:

EEEE sizes

Waterproof and possibly breathable (my feet sweat a lot so breathable is important for the all day boots)

Capable of fitting my chonky calves (for reals)

No budget cap, but under $250 each pair would be good.

Didn't know you were in Maine. Bunny boots are overkill. But seriously, they are the best for "real" winters. The kind of winter where 0F feels like a heat wave.

Gosh, I'm a dope... I forgot I had, at one time, been issued Bunny boots... Those are definitely too much for what I'm aiming to do. 😁

Yeah, I figured it out after I read some of your notes... For me, they are my daily footwear for now... Something about dragging kids down the side of the road if there is a car wreck or unforeseen disaster warrants the bunny boots whenever I go out.
