Takes me back to when my eldest was born.

Emergency C-section during COVID-19 2021 and I hadn't had a PCR so I wasn't allowed in during the procedure.

The first kid is always the hardest.

He still breastfed til he was 3 because my wife's a boss.

We learned a lot from that and had my daughter at a natural birth clinic to not repeat the mistakes of the first time. Feeding a system that profits from pushing people into operations...

Incredible. Your wife is a boss being able to breast feed for three years after an emergency C. So many women would have caved into formula after that experience. Bitcoiners are truly built different.

I feel so blessed my hospital experience didn’t go wrong. First kid as well. The system tried so hard to get us to induce early because supposed growth restriction when biophysical profile of the baby was always 10/10. We fought hard to get to 40 weeks where but doctors wouldn’t let us go past the due date. Before we headed in for the induction, we had sex because I knew semen contained natural prostaglandin that are necessary to start the dilation process. We arrived at the hospital at 7PM — nurses gave my wife the first and only dose of misoprostal and told us nothing would happened tonight. Fast forward 5 hours later, my wife was 4cm dilated. My daughter was born at 5:46am at 6 pounds ✌🏽

Crazy that doctors get to dictate things... Pregnancy isn't a sickness to be cured...

Hospitals used to be where people went to die. It was antithetical to have a baby in one. Babies were always born at home.

That's why we opted for a birthing clinic for the second one.

This was moments after my daughter was born and we found out together she was a girl.

It was pure magic ✨...

Beautiful. Amazing you guys were able to have a natural birth experience for the 2nd one, especially after emergency c. Very uncommon.

Birthing center is the way we’ll do it for the next 💯 We almost decided last minute to switch to one but logistics got too crazy.

Both my parents are doctors too, my mom is a pediatrician so it’s hard to get them to understand our POV… they have been brainwashed to serve a system and they can’t even see it… incentives are everything.

Damn that's rough...

They're in the system...

There's that famous quote about it being almost impossible to get someone to fight against the thing that pays the bills. Rough quote obviously.

It was $3500 all in for in the hospital with emergency surgery.

Birthing center with overnight stay, food, nurses, doctor was $2000.

All this was in Jakarta Indonesia though.

Took my daughter to the ER in Savannah GA after she jumped off a hotel bed and was concussed. After a brief consultation and one hour observation. We were billed in the mail almost as much as it cost for her to be born abroad.

Fuck the US healthcare grift...

Yup, it’s insane… robbery in broad daylight.

They won't stop at nothing... Today my wife got a call for a depression screening!!! A month after birth! Fucking insane. When she told them she felt great, they said oh well you know post partum depression can happen at anytime... Give us a call blah blah blah. I was enraged.

What is a natural birth clinic? I was thinking about doing a home birth but this might be more reassuring for my partner

Just a place where they treat birth like it isn't an illness to be cured. Look it up alongside the city you're in and see if you get any hits.

Or ask a doula (person that helps with birthing)

Will do when the time comes 🫡
