I literally did not realize there was a homeless man sleeping in this bus stop until after I posted the photo…

Looks like a pretty sweet DC condo to me.

Powerful.

😭 how did you not see the person at the time irl

never mind not see before posting? 😭

what does powerful mean?

powerful blinders?

powerful artistic statement?

powerful to realize & vulnerably admit how much you arent picking up in the present moment irl to be able to respond to?

cos i know it's not:

didnt even notice irl

didnt even notice before posting

but yea wow lucky break it makes my artistic statement even more powerful

like i know it isnt that

i know we arent reducing people to invisible models that simply appear later as if by magic to help your artwork be even better

cos again

Where is this prejudice and conclusion jumping coming from?

Is your day going ok? Serious question. No need to announce you’re more virtuous either.

I was quickly walking back to our hotel when Carla, pushing our sleeping child ina stroller said “look, they’re showing the national debt” and I snapped a quick photo without stopping. Then I posted it to Nostr immediately because this is where my stream of consciousness goes. So no, I didn’t see the homeless man until I actually looked at the photo.

And the fact that I didn’t see him in the first place is really the root of the problem, isn’t it?

We see so many homeless people in America that we don’t actually see them at all most of the time.

1,000 words in a photo

Yep, welcome to DC. It all happens here.

But hey, it's just the money that we owe to ourselves.

Shhhhhhhhh.

Wow! That ended up being a much more striking photo than you intended. 👀

Debt per person including;

Homeless guy - $102,795.

It’s the same in all countries. 😐

Not really.

In spain the rich and wealthy now are muslims or blacks getting every privilege from gov and tax payers. Doom days are already here

Few lucky ones. The others fucked up.
