Carl Menger, which top 3 books should I read from the Austrian school ?
Discussion
For pure theory here are 3 good options:
Per Bylund's Primer: How to think about the economy (easy)
https://mises.org/library/book/how-think-about-economy-primer
Henry Hazlitt's Economics in one lesson (intermediate)
https://www.liberalstudies.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Economics-in-One-Lesson_2.pdf
Ludwig von Mises' Human Action (hard but great)
https://mises.org/library/book/human-action
A couple of honorable mentions:
I think Rothbard's economic history is also excellent, eg. America's Great Depression
https://mises.org/library/book/americas-great-depression
Finally Bohm-Bawerk's refutations are especially skillful, eg. Karl Marx and the Close of his System
https://mises.org/library/book/karl-marx-and-close-his-system
Add Principles of Economics by nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak to that list too! https://saifedean.com/poe
Denationalisation of Money. Hayek.
Anarchy, State, and Utopia. Nozick
Studies on the Abuse and Decline of Reason. Hayek.
Yes, I am a hard Hayekian hh.
How are Choice in Currency and Denationalisation of Money different?
Choice in currency was a first touch of his idea on money, but denationalization is the final piece of his thoughts. I would recommend to read that one. For me, that’s one of the ideological base of Bitcoin (on the monetary field).
