What's the opportunity cost, though?
Fiat is the guaranteed rug;
onchain is too expensive for small frequent payments, and too public.
If the alternative is less Bitcoin than I would argue this suggested strategy decreases your chance of being rugged as the alternative is more fiat in the tradfi system. As also mentioned in another comment, what’s your opportunity cost?
