This is such valuable information; exactly what I seek. Thank you! It will require time, but this is the direction we are headed. Fortunately, we have some highly-skilled #nostriches in our area, and several family-members who have built their own computers. I want #nostr input, like yours, not just theirs.

There’s not absolute solutions everyone needs to find the path according to the needs. Fortunately there’s plenty of options and many very well documented. I find very interesting experimenting with raspberry pi (the 4th minimum) and operating systems like FreeBSD or OpenBSD (my favorite)
Also an option to try a virtual machine like QEMU or others
