If bitcoin doesn’t perform, eventually compounding from traditional investing catches up and outperforms bitcoin.
A hard pill to swallow.

A hard pill to swallow.
Isn't it performing like crazy when you zoom out?
Every successful asset has that trajectory.
I think we underestimate the growth that awaits btc in decades to come. We never witnessed an asset that is a domain shifting phenomenon in the same time.
Yes, we have. It's a regular thing, through history.
You underestimate the extent to which parabolic growth is a regular thing.
What Bitcoin did was program its own scarcity, to support its own price.
Totally hear you—and yes, parabolic growth has happened before.
But I still think we’re underestimating what’s unfolding here. Most assets grow within a system. Bitcoin is changing the system.
It’s not just scarce—it’s a domain shift.
We’re talking about something that redefines property rights in cyberspace.
Turns energy into trust.
Removes the need for central authority.
Creates a shared, immutable truth.
Gold didn’t do that. Stocks didn’t do that.
Even the internet didn’t do that—it moved data, not value.
Bitcoin is the internet of value.
So yeah, it might be fair to say “in our lifetime” just to frame it…
But what’s coming feels hyper-exponential not just because of price, but because the entire substrate of value is moving from meatspace to cyberspace.
It’s a multi-century shift—playing out right now.
Bitcoin is not designed to outperform every other asset, always, but to slowly, steadily, continuously rise in purchasing power without having to risk the principle.
Bitcoin is savings.
True
Bitcoin is bitcoin. Even if its price in 10 years will slowly go down towards 10k bitcoins it will always be bitcoin and its value will always be unparalleled
Pretty tough for people to rely on compounding. Probably harder than hodling BTC. Most people need interest or dividends to live off. Very few fold them back into the initial investment so that compounding can actually take place. Add inflation to that as well and it is even harder.
It’s pretty standard in most investment vehicles.
Bitcoin are currency.
“If”… Not gonna happen.
Compounding from traditional investing is a ponzi scheme. Bitcoin "performs" with or without "ngu" or all you get rich quick people that are no better than cryptofags
Thanks for the laugh this morning
