Just watched the episode of 'The Mandalorian' in season three with Jack Black and Lizzo.

Jack Black is Jack Black, and although he feels a touch out of place in a Star Wars setting, he does not disappoint.

However, I cannot say the same of the the obese lady who thinks she's really something. Her acting is like a little girl playing princess. That was awful! The episode would have been much better if the character was just nixed from the plot. You wouldn't even need to replace the dialog.

That show really cratered

I really quite liked the first two seasons.

Action is usually pretty well done. Costume and set design are great. Special effects are almost always amazing. Most acting is done well. But...

Sometimes the plot can be plain or cliché, but that episode seemed to be worse on that front too. The one theme I really don't like, but I really can't expect anything else from our media, is the continual "the lady proves herself and becomes the leader" typical feminist plot. happens all the time.

The Lizzo appearance was just too much, and I had to post about it. Why does our society worship obese and obscene black ladies?

From my perspective

1 was novel and great

2 was good with some controversy

3 got too politically connected to enjoy
