I see what you mean. I am christian but not catholic and don't recognise the pope.

Having said that i do recognize that human heart can fail this is why only the bible can be the authority and view as the words of god.

Not all catholics will hide rapists but yes this is sad when some do.

They damage the view christianity and turn some people away from god.
