The best example about how the concept of “whiteness” has erased the cultural identity of people with white skin.

It doesn’t matter where people are from, their culture, history, language. It only matters if they look “white enough”. Do they have the right phenotypes?

When people speak out against “whiteness” they are not speaking out against the existence of “white people”, but against this.

The blandification of cultures, history and experiences that demand that white skin and appearance be placed above everything else.

Dismantling “whiteness” is not “white people” disappearing. It is white people reconnecting with their ancestors and cultures as our identity instead of our skin color.
