What’s the difference between the Orange Pill app and Nostr? Couldn’t it be a social media app as well? I prefer their lifetime membership to Nostrs subscription model.

Nostr doesn't have a subscription model. A particular client might, or a paid relay might, but that's a single entity providing a service ON Nostr, not Nostr itself.
