Elephind is a full text newspaper search engine, featuring old papers from thousands of libraries (the bulk are from the United States, Canada, and Australia, but there are many outside of those three). I have used it for a number of article research projects ranging from the origin of Mother's Day to articles on the first year of basketball (1891-92). Back in 2021, I wrote a short review of Elephind and its functionality.
