Well number one is get on Nostr and use that as the primary "platform" instead of other social media. Build out a relay for private community and put energy/capital into nostr-based solutions like creatr or nostr.build.

I guess in terms of building from scratch you would need to diversify your video platforms. My personal preferences would be:

Rumble

Nostr Alternatives

YouTube

There seem to be a few nostr-based video services and I would focus on building out a presence there as they become more robust.

Rumble because it's not YouTube and there seems to be a lot of tips of content missing due to the prevalence of political creators. Open market basically.

Youtube as tertiary backup.

Not really sure how one might try to migrate an audience from legacy social media.

Some great points

You're very welcome!

I'm trying to make the point to my wife as well.

You're starting from scratch so you're building up here. It'll take some time but it'll be worth it in the long run because this isn't a foundation of sand.

If my wife had started using her npub when I made it for her (same day as mine) she would already likely have built up the kind of feed she currently values on legacy socials. Ideas, memes, meal ideas and homesteading.

Same goes for anyone else at this point.

Well in think this is the key point re quicksand

Nostr is a superior form of digital property rights

As a result it’s a better technology & platform to build with long term

Absolutely! I've invested my time, energy and capital into nostr and I have already gotten more out of it in the time I've been here than in the years prior on corporate tech.
