I don't get the incentive. Does CSW think if a court rules that he is, in fact, Satoshi, that the bitcoin CEO will cut him a check or something?

I think there are 2 answers to that:

1.) He thought he could force BTC core developers to add a patch that would attribute him the Satoshi Coins.

2.) He just wanted to make enough people think he is Satoshi, so he could milk them.

Maybe both.
