Lightning has lower fees and is faster.

You don't need more than a LN wallet.

If you want to you can make it harder but why ?

So is waiting for one or two blocks too long or are onchain fees too high compared to the amounts you want to settle ?

If so go for LN.

First of all thanks for the reply.

I think at the moment fees are as low as they can be so that is why I’m not sure if LN is worth it. I haven’t studied LN enough so I don’t know how the wallets work. If I need to manage channels or if I delegate that process how to later take all the #bitcoin on chain or if it is necessary at all…

If you keep it simple by just getting a LN wallet you don't have to do things like manage channels etc.

That does come into play when you run your own LN node.
