COBOL is dependent required compiler and runtime environment tailor for hardware , while Java is dependent on JVM . I don’t think Java virtual machine can handle very big data like COBOL , as COBOL is fixed long data data types as batch , while Java is not that fixed , they are flexible

To changes and dynamic , so man need to carefully and exactly know what data types is necessary for .. 🤯
