It's my preferred desktop client. hzrd is "living the NIP standard".

That doesn't quite fix it IMO. I still want to see reposts, just not of posts from accounts I already follow.

Like the note and proceed to see another three copies of a note I already read... 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

"Hide reposts of notes from accounts I already follow" would be a great QoL feature.
