In music I hear the notion that no one wants to see a new artist in their 40s finally trying to make it. That seems short-sighted. If we stay young in our ability to dream, coupled with our life experience, great things can happen.

Very well said. May be because people feel under their skin and from life experiences that 40 years old artists must be leaving a life of compromises with the system..which in most cases is a fact. I meet a lot of artists/musicians who do "rebellious" art as a way making money...just because it still sells.
