Turns out you can run #Linux on a Commodore 64 using a virtual RISC-V32 CPU, but the boot-up process takes hours and requires a RAM Expansion Unit. The code has only been tested on an emulator. https://hackaday.com/2023/08/27/linux-on-a-commodore-64/
