If you're emotionally unstable then I think you need to work on that first, otherwise dating will do more harm than good.

If you are on SSRIs you cant handle a relationship (I know from experience). If you stay off drugs and warn your partner you are weird and they stay, good. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut and legs open- plenty of stable relationships were founded in that way (personal experiences).
