I think there are two options

Either try to work out why your configuration doesn't work

Try to work out why my configuration works.

The thing I do is add their npub to my relay and tell them to set it as their outbox and DM relay.

If you're starting to get serious about using 0xChat as a private DM (and group chat) client, you might want to consider setting up your own relay. This can be done yourself, it can set it up to work over Tor if you want or you can pay for a relay from a service like:

https://relay.tools/

Or you can pay to use mine for 2,100 Sats per month per npub.

jf is my own relay, even developed by me. that's the problem.

ill try to use your relay and find out what's the difference.

Interesting.

I tried going down the relay rabbit hole, but I realised I didn't have 4 years of my life available to dedicate to this, so I opted to purchase a pre-configured one 😂

What with nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 WoT relays and Outbox models and Blossom servers, I'm seriously out of my depth 😂
