NEWS FLASH - There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only five ways to leave a MEMPOOL in Bitcoin Core. 1)Tx gets included in a block 2) Tx conflicts or an ancestor conflicts with a Tx included in a block 3)Tx replaced via BIP125 RBF 4)Tx ejected as lowest fee in memory buffer when higher fee arrives 5) Tx EXPIRES BY TIMEOUT = 14 days. Also, Tx are now stored to disc so Bitcoin Core node restarts do not wipe your local memory pool buffer anymore.
